The Borough of North Caldwell Police Department is committed to the pursuit of an ethos reflecting the highest degree of ethical, moral, and fairly applied law enforcement.
The Police Department shall Preserve the peace, protect life and property, detect, arrest and prosecute offenders of the laws of New Jersey and the ordinances of the Borough of North Caldwell, direct and control traffic, provide attendance and protection during emergencies, provide appearances in court, cooperate with all other law enforcement agencies, and, provide training for the efficiency of its members and employees (N.J.S.A. 40A:14-11b)
All residents should provide emergency contact information to the police department. It is mandatory under Borough Ordinance #22-6 that all alarm systems be registered with the police department. Resident Information and Alarm Forms are available from the Police Front Counter or email firstname.lastname@example.org to request forms.

Borough Ordinance #99-6 prohibits parking on the roadway from 2am-6am. If there are extenuating circumstances and you must have a vehicle parked on the roadway overnight, call the police desk, 973-226-0800, to register your vehicle to avoid being ticketed.
